The 32-year-old Wu, a legendary figure in Chinese short track history, competed in three Winter Olympic Games. He claimed China's first and only gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the men's 500-meter event, and went on to lead the Chinese team to win the 2000-meter mixed relay title at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
